The Certification You May Not Know About: Fair for Life
Every cup of tea begins long before it reaches your mug.
It begins with farmers, wild collectors, processors, manufacturers, and countless others who care for herbs every step of the way. At TraditionalMedicinals, we've always believed that exceptional tea starts with exceptional relationships. That's why we're continuing to expand our Fair for Life certified offerings, with a goal of having 80% of our herbs Fair certified by 2030.
What Is Fair for Life?
Fair for Life is a third-party fair-trade certification that looks beyond a single step in the supply chain. Rather than focusing only on where herbs are grown, Fair for Life considers social, environmental, and economic practices throughout the product journey. It supports long-term, ethical partnerships built on transparency, accountability, and shared responsibility.
For us, Fair for Life is about building long-term relationships rooted in respect, transparency, and shared responsibility. It supports ethical partnerships that strengthen communities while also caring for the ecosystems where herbs are grown and harvested. Rather than viewing fairness as a one-time transaction, Fair for Life recognizes that meaningful impact comes from investing in people and the planet over time. It's an approach that closely aligns with how we've sourced herbs for more than 50 years and why we've committed to having 80% of our herbs Fair certified by 2030.

Four New Fair for Life Certified Teas
We're excited to share that four more Traditional Medicinals teas are now Fair for Life certified:
-
Raspberry Leaf – traditionally used to support healthy menstruation and ease normal menstrual cramps.*
-
Peppermint – a refreshing herbal ally that soothes digestive discomfort.*
-
Spearmint – sweet, cooling, and traditionally used to support everyday wellness.*
-
Nettle – a nourishing herbal tonic traditionally used to support joint health and everyday wellness.*
Each of these teas is certified Organic and represents another step toward a more equitable supply chain through Fair for Life certification, reflecting our commitment to responsible sourcing and long-term partnerships.
A Note About the New Packaging
As more of our teas become Fair for Life certified, you may begin to notice the Fair for Life seal appearing on select packaging over time. Because certification and packaging updates happen gradually, products currently on store shelves may not yet display the seal.
You'll begin seeing the new seal appear on packaging as updated inventory makes its way to retailers in the coming months.

A Growing Collection
These additions join our existing Fair for Life certified teas:
-
Stress Ease® Calm – crafted with adaptogenic herbs to help relieve stress and support a sense of calm.*
-
Rosy Mood™ – a floral blend with damiana, rose, and butterfly pea flower that supports a happy mood and an open heart.*
-
Ginger Aid® – a spicy-sweet digestive tea that promotes healthy digestion and helps relieve occasional nausea.*
Together, these seven teas represent our continued commitment to building sourcing relationships rooted in fairness, transparency, and long-term partnership. As we work toward our goal of having 80% Fair certified herbs by 2030, every new certification is another step toward a supply chain where fairness is woven throughout the journey, from source to shelf.
More Fair for Life certified teas are on the horizon, and we can't wait to share them with you. Stay tuned as our collection continues to grow.
